Neches River Festival 2024

The Neches River Festival in Beaumont, Texas boasts a rich history dating back to 1949. Originally conceived to celebrate the city's namesake waterway, the festival emerged from a community effort despite initial financial constraints. Through unwavering enthusiasm and collaboration, local businesses, the Chamber of Commerce, and city officials all played a role in the festival's inaugural year.

Over the decades, the Neches River Festival has flourished, incorporating a vibrant parade, dazzling fireworks displays, and engaging riverfront activities. Notably, the festival has placed a strong emphasis on celebrating Beaumont's youth, particularly high school seniors. This focus is exemplified by the participation of over 1,600 high schoolers in recent years, with the festival even awarding scholarships to deserving participants. The Neches River Festival remains a cornerstone of Beaumont's cultural landscape, proudly showcasing the city's natural beauty and its bright young minds.
