Beaumont's Annual Events
If there's one thing we're known for in Beaumont, it's our ability to throw a good party, In fact, from January to December, there's always something happening in the area - and always with a uniquely Southeast Texan spin. Here's just a snapshot of what's happening throughout the year. For current events, check our calendar of events.

Taste of the Triangle offers small bites of restaurants throughout Southeast Texas. From appetizers to desserts, Taste of the Triangle gives you the chance to sample numerous dishes from all over the area.
Hosted by the Sabine Area Restaurant Association (SARA), a local service for the hospitality and foodservice industry, the Taste of the Triangle is an annual event that helps SARA's mission to support scholarships for Lamar University’s Hospitality Management Program, The Texas Restaurant Association’s Education Foundation, and educational and professional development for the Texas Chefs Association. Proceeds from the event and activities go back into the community through the support of many local charities.

The YMBL South Texas State Fair & Rodeo brings thousands of visitors to Beaumont each spring with food, entertainment, and, of course, carnival rides. The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) showcases the country's top cowboys and cowgirls at the YMBL Championship Rodeo while locals present their masterpieces at the School Art, Quilt and Photo Show. There's a Livestock & Poultry Show as well as a Youth Animal Auction, Kids Fun Zone and more.
Held annually at the Ford Park Entertainment Complex, the fairgrounds are filled to near capacity with over 250 booths dishing out exotic and intriguing dishes made for easy eating on the go - funnel cakes, cheesecake-on-a-stick, pork-kabobs, rabbit-on-a-stick, fried alligator, fried pickles and more.

TICKET BOOTH ADMISSION TICKET PURCHASE PRICES: Kids 2 years and under FREE. Youth, 3 ‑ 12 years, $5.00; Adults 13 – 64 years, $10.00; Senior Citizens 65 and over, $5.00; Parking is FREE.
Carnival Rides / Midway Prices
All rides require between 2 - 6 tickets each. Individual tickets may be purchased for $1 or unlimited ride wristbands are available for $40. Find ride hours and more info.
Can't-Miss Attractions
Some of the quirkier, not-to-miss attractions include daily high dive shows (there's a man on fire!) and extreme dog tricks (cheer for your favorite high-flying four-legged friend).
Daily Activities
Every day, you can check out the livestock, poultry, rabbit show, kid's fun zone, petting zoo, camel and pony rides, Dana Kunze World Class High Drive Show, carnival rides/Midway, relaxation stations, school art show, photography contest, quilt show, stunt dog show, and musicians and entertainers from Sweet Southern Sound.

- DBCAD Spring Arts Festival at the Event Centre from 11am-6pm. Check out art submissions from local artists and shop the vendors! Free admission.

Neches River Festival 2024
The Neches River Festival in Beaumont, Texas boasts a rich history dating back to 1949. Originally conceived to celebrate the city's namesake waterway, the festival emerged from a community effort despite initial financial constraints. Through unwavering enthusiasm and collaboration, local businesses, the Chamber of Commerce, and city officials all played a role in the festival's inaugural year.
Over the decades, the Neches River Festival has flourished, incorporating a vibrant parade, dazzling fireworks displays, and engaging riverfront activities. Notably, the festival has placed a strong emphasis on celebrating Beaumont's youth, particularly high school seniors. This focus is exemplified by the participation of over 1,600 high schoolers in recent years, with the festival even awarding scholarships to deserving participants. The Neches River Festival remains a cornerstone of Beaumont's cultural landscape, proudly showcasing the city's natural beauty and its bright young minds.

Registration for the 11th Annual Neches River Rally will open in early March. This year’s route will take paddlers through the Big Thicket National Preserve via the 4-mile Cooks Lake to Scatterman Paddling Trail. This is a rain or shine event.
Paddlers will experience the open waters of the Neches River and the bald cypress/water tupelo swamp. Wading birds, songbirds and turtles are common wildlife observed in these backwaters.
Canoes and kayaks (no paddleboards) will launch and return to the LNVA Saltwater Barrier location in Beaumont. Bring your personal boat or reserve a boat before April 26 with Big Thicket Outfitters (409) 786-1884.
Each adult registered participant will receive a complimentary Big Thicket Association 2024 membership.
Registrants also receive a free hamburger/chips/ and drink for lunch, and goodie bag.

You don't have to travel to Germany to enjoy Oktoberfest! Celebrate in Beaumont, Texas! Located at Rogers Park, enjoy authentic German music, delicious food and games. This event is perfect for the whole family to enjoy! Dress up in the traditional lederhosen if you want or come as you are!
We know how to celebrate Oktoberfest in Beaumont! Bands perform throughout the day, multiple food trucks are on the premises whipping up delicious food from bratwursts to tacos. You can't forget the beer! Under the beer tent are multiple Oktoberfest-style beers from craft breweries near and far to try throughout the day.

Held annually in October, the Color Rush 5K is full of bold color and great music with awesome atmosphere and a mission to save lives in Southeast Texas. All funds raised by the Gift of Life stay right here in Southeast Texas and directly impact the lives of individuals in our community! Join the Gift of Life Beaumont for this family-friendly run/walk to celebrate cancer survivors and make a difference.
The Gift of Life Women’s Breast Health Program was originally dedicated to providing free mammograms for medically underserved women. However, the organization’s services have multiplied to become one of the largest cancer screening initiatives of its kind in the state of Texas.

Each year, families and their favorite canines gather together on the 2nd Saturday in October to enjoy great food, music, and furry fun for Beaumont Main Street's Dogtober Fest! Included in the festivities are a Strut Your Mutt Competition, PAW Readings, Puppy Kissing Booth, PAW-traitures, and other dog-themed activities.
Dog souvenirs and gifts are available for purchase from local vendors and awards are given throughout the day for Master/Dog Look Alike, Best Dressed Dog, Cutest Dog, Best Tail Waggin', Most Talented Dog, and many others. View the full schedule for Dogtober Fest.

October 17-20, 2024
Support area museums during “Museum Madness Weekend,” October 17-20,2024. The Art Museum of Southeast Texas, Beaumont Children’s Museum, John Jay French Museum, Edison Museum, Dishman Art Museum, Fire Museum of Texas, McFaddin-Ward House Museum, Museum of the Gulf Coast, Spindletop-Gladys City Boomtown Museum, and Texas Energy Museum are each hosting events for a fun-filled weekend in Jefferson County.
The weekend starts off Thursday, October 17, 2024, with the Edison Museum's Ghost Phone and Spiritualism exhibit, a cemetery tour at Magnolia Cemetery, and guided tours at the Museum of the Gulf Coast featuring interactive media exhibits in music, sports, and notable people halls of fame.
The Texas Fire Museum will host a pumpkin scavenger hunt on Friday, October 18, 2024. The McFaddin-Ward House will host live music on the lawn.
On Saturday, in downtown Beaumont, the Beaumont Children’s Museum invites all to Kate the Chemist. The Fire Museum of Texas will be holding a pumpkin scavenger hunt, and the Art Museum of Southeast Texas and Texas Energy Museum are holding their annual “Family Arts Day: Eat a Bug" and “Dino Day,” respectively.
The Beaumont Heritage Society is hosting its annual “Pumpkin Walk” at the John Jay French Museum.
On Sunday, October 20, Tyrrell Park Nature Center will be hosting "Hoo's There?" This is their popular owl pellet program.

Beaumont Civic Ballet presents "The Nutcracker"
The Beaumont Civic Ballet’s landmark annual performance of The Nutcracker is a holiday tradition. Each year Southeast Texans have the opportunity to view incredible dance performances and experience a breathtaking story of young Clara’s adventure through the lands of snow and sweets in two separate performances at the Julie Rogers Theater.

Main Street Market is the Junior League of Beaumont’s annual fundraiser. All proceeds support the League’s continual work throughout the community through projects, community assistance funds and scholarships.
Tickets can be purchased here. General admission tickets will be available online and at the door. All online purchases will receive a confirmation email. Confirmation emails will not need to be presented. There will be a list of all ticket purchases at Main Street Market check-in.
