White Haven

Although White Haven was originally built as a New England Colonial-style mansion, subsequent owners transformed the structure of this splendid house to reflect a Southern Greek Revival-style including large verandas, wide porches and majestic columns. Its collections include candelabras from the Shah of Persia, original pieces of Wedgwood china and a French screen from the collection of Empress Carlotta of Mexico. The home is owned by Lamar State College-Port Arthur. Hours: Tours by appointment only. Admission: Free.
