Eastex Canoe Trails

8 reviews
Since 1978, Eastex Canoes has provided reliable information and daily service on the Village Creek Paddling Trail, the Lower Neches River and all Big Thicket Paddling Trails. Only 20 miles North of Beaumont is the once vast wilderness, known only as Big Thicket. Pristine, fairly remote and secluded, all Big Thicket Paddling & Camping Trails are gentle, slow-moving streams, surrounded by heavily forested floodplain. Accented with sugar-white sandbars, these trails offer wildlife and unspoiled natural beauty. A canoe trip in the Big Thicket offers recreational opportunities for camping, light-tackle fishing, swimming, picnicking, outdoor-nature photography and wildlife observation. Hours: Registration is daily, 8:00 am - 2:00 pm. Canoes must be at the takeout by 6:00 pm. Fees: Canoes $45 Kayaks $35 Note: XL 3-person canoes & tandem kayaks available. Overnight & Group Rates Available. Reservations recommended March - November.
