The Beaumont Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is gearing up for another busy summer for tournaments throughout the city. Summer ball for both baseball and softball is underway with teams from all over the United States heading to Beaumont to compete and bring business to Beaumont. When teams choose Beaumont, they are not only here to play and stay in the hotels, but they are also visiting local restaurants, attractions, and museums – making an economic impact on the community.

The Beaumont CVB sales team has been working with sports planners and selling Beaumont as a sports destination for 20+ years, making the area a hotspot for teams. This summer, the estimated economic impact of these tournaments is over $2.5 million, displaying how sports tournaments are important business to the community.

“The opportunity to showcase our facilities and let it be known that Beaumont is a premier place to play sports is showing,” said Beaumont CVB Director of Sales, Freddie Willard. “We are so happy to have the continued support from our community and these sports planners who choose Beaumont to host their tournaments.”

The Beaumont CVB has booked 13 tournaments this summer, averaging between 100 – 200 teams.

  •  June 11 – 12, 2022: Southeast Texas Baseball Academy Last Chance Qualifier
  •  June 18 – 19, 2022: TX-LA Super State Championship Tournament
  •  June 21 – 26, 2022: Southeast Texas Baseball Academy World Series
  •  July 1 – 3, 2022: Southern Black Softball Association World Tournament
  •  July 15 – 16, 2022: Unites States Fastpitch Association Western Nationals
  •  July 24 – 31, 2022: National Beep Baseball Association World Series
  •  August 19 – 21, 2022: Southern Black Softball Association All-Star Tournament
