On November 16, 2017 at The Jefferson Theater show starts at 7:00 PM
The first woman in country music to begin her career with three consecutive Platinum albums, Lorrie Morgan is a chart-topping vocalist with over two decades of success. She has sold over eight million albums and received numerous awards including Country Music Television’s (CMA) Female Vocalist of the Year in 1992 and Album of the Year in 1994. She also made history as the youngest person to ever become a member of the Grand Ole Opry.
A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Morgan was born with country music in her blood as the daughter of the late country music legend, George Morgan. Following in her father’s footsteps, she has released a string of hits including “Five Minutes”, “Except for Monday”, “Something in Red”, “Watch Me”, “What Part of No”, “I Guess You Had to Be There”, and “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength”.
In 2016, she released her latest album, “Letting Go…Slow” and is expected to perform fan favorites as well as newer material. Staying true to form, Morgan’s music continues to embody her colorful personality and chronicles the experiences of a life well lived.
“I have been a daughter, a bride, a mother, a divorcee, a widow, and single mother, a breadwinner and, ultimately, a survivor,” says Morgan. “In many ways, I am a living, breathing country song, and I know what I sing.”
