Texas Brews in Beaumont
Galveston Island Brewing (GIB)
Their flagship brew, Tiki Wheat, is a beer that you will not be able to forget. A half wheat and half barley brew paired with coriander and honey keeps you coming back for more. Since its creation, GIB has created a range of options from an Amber Ale to a Nightfall Porter. They even have a Belgian and Double IPA series and Oktoberfest brew for the fall. If you have not gotten the chance to sample GIB’s refreshing beers, you can stop by J Wilson's, Rotolo’s Pizzeria, The West Bar and Grill and Luke’s Icehouse and see what they have in stock, while hanging out with family and friends.
Karbach Brewing Company
When you have a beer named Love Street, it has to mean that you will fall in love with it, which a lot of people have. Made in the Kolsch-style with German hops, Love Street makes for a refreshing beer that goes great with salads and the delicious seafood we have here in Beaumont. Another fan favorite, the Hopadillo IPA, is one that you cannot put down. Karbach has become such a staple in Beaumont that every year you can get your fill during the Karbach Pub Crawl. Make your rounds to The Grill, The West Bar and Grill, MacKenzie’s Pub, Thirsty’s and Bar Local for a coveted Karbach glass and samplings of your favorite brews.
Saint Arnold Brewing Company
As the oldest craft brewing company in Texas, Saint Arnold is a fan favorite for the Beaumont community. The marketing and event director, Lennie Ambrose, lived in Beaumont and wanted to make sure Saint Arnold brews were in the area. He was also instrumental in bringing the Saint Arnold Pub Crawl to Beaumont that focuses on the same stops as the Karbach pub crawl. With fantastic year-round beers, such as the Fancy Lawnmower and Weedwacker, to seasonal beers like Oktoberfest and Christmas Ale, Saint Arnold provides something for everyone’s taste buds.
Beaumont’s Craft Beer Fest will offer various flavors and an abundant amount of choices that will suit the wide-ranging audience of beer drinkers that have the chance to go. If you’re ready to try some new brews and support small businesses, try a craft beer when you see it on tap at one of the local hangouts. Who knows, you may just find a favorite!
