Beaumont welcomes the National Physique Committee to the Julie Rogers Theatre on Saturday, April 22, 2017 for the Southeast Texas Championship.

“This is the second bodybuilding competition and fitness expo to hit Beaumont since 1996,” says Robin Fore, Chief Operations Officer for the Southeast Texas Championship. “This year, the Southeast Texas Championship is sanctioned as a national qualifier!”

The National Physique Committee (NPC) is the premier amateur physique organization in the world. Since 1982, the top athletes in bodybuilding, fitness, figure, bikini and physique have started their careers in the NPC. Many of those athletes have graduated to successful careers in the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB), a list that includes 24 Olympia and 38 Arnold Classic winners. The NPC returns to Beaumont this April for the Southeast Texas Championship with athletes competing in bodybuilding, women's physique, figure, men's physique, classic physique and bikini.

IFBB professionals Lenny “Doc” and Leah Sohn will be presenting. IFBB Pro, Adela Garcia (All Time Fitness Olympia Champion), and Hunter Labrada with Labrada Nutrition will also make a guest appearance along with other IFBB pros.

The public is invited to watch the bodybuilding competition and enjoy the fitness expo, which opens at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2017. Admission for the Pre-judging portion of the competition is $20 for general admission and $30 for reserved seating. Finals start at 6:30 p.m. and admission is $20 for general admission and $30 for reserved seating. VIP access is available for $75 and includes all day admission, pre-judging and finals.
