Bleachers for spectators, pro shop, lounge, locker rooms, and large covered porch, are all on-site in the 4,500 square foot clubhouse. The center is home to numerous tennis tournaments, city championships, wooden racket tournaments, and pickleball.
“The Beaumont Municipal Tennis Center is a beautiful facility that is ready to welcome community members and visitors,” said Tennis Facility Manager, Russell Grogan. “We have had the opportunity to host community tournaments as well as United States Tennis Association tournaments. With the addition of 8 pickleball courts, both indoor and outdoor, we are excited to accommodate those players as well.”
Located on the Lamar University campus, the Thompson Family Tennis Center boasts an upgraded pro shop and meeting facility, as well as updated locker room, facilities, and awnings for spectator seating. The center includes a state-of-the-art electronic scoreboard that can keep track of six matches at once while play is taking place. The 16 courts and 5 stadium courts give more than enough room for those both playing and watching the sport.
