The Beaumont Convention and Visitors Bureau is celebrating another packed weekend in 2018 for the first weekend of November. Hotel room availability in Beaumont will be very limited with most properties already at full occupancy.
The Beaumont CVB sales team works with a variety of meeting planners from the start to ensure a solid plan is executed for overnight events both big and small. The Beaumont CVB servicing department provides personalized support and quality services with the goal that events will continue to re-book Beaumont. With accessibility and affordability, Beaumont offers an ideal place to book events and tournaments.
“We are delighted to have an outstanding turnout this weekend in Beaumont,” said Freddie Willard, Director of Sales. “With a variety of meetings and events taking place in Beaumont, our hotels are full. It is great to see another sold-out weekend in our city.”
The Beaumont CVB sales team booked the following group business:
- Step-N-Strut Trail Ride Festival – Estimated Economic Impact (EEI): $240,000
- United States Fastpitch Association Fall Tournament – EEI: $195,000
For the first time in 2018, Beaumont is hosting the Step-N-Strut Trail Ride Festival at Ford Park. There is an estimated attendance of 2,000 people for the trail ride and the United States Fastpitch Association’s Fall Tournament has an estimated attendance of 1,500. Both events will be staying at various hotels city-wide.
The 2018 Southland Soccer Tournament hosted at the Lamar University Soccer Complex, events booked by the Beaumont CVB sales team and other meetings and events that require overnight stays are all contributing to the sold-out weekend.
“To have the United States Fastpitch Association continue to use Beaumont as a host city for their tournament is terrific for the area,” said Rebecca Woodland, Sales Manager. “We continue to work to find new pieces of business to make Beaumont their home and we are excited to host Step-N-Strut Trail Ride for the first time this year.”
