The City of Beaumont, Texas has an extensive system of city parks for locals and visitors alike. From water playgrounds and picnic areas to athletic facilities for basketball, tennis, soccer and other sports, you can experience Beaumont like a local.
Located off Interstate 10 on the south side of Beaumont, Tyrrell Park is home to the Beaumont Botanical Gardens and Warren Loose Conservatory. The Botanical Gardens features paved walkways connecting themed gardens, a large koi pond and waterfall along with a rose garden. Also found within Tyrrell Park, is Henry Homberg Golf Course and Tyrell Park Stables. An additional 900 acres in the back off the park make up Cattail Marsh Scenic Wetlands, a prime bird watching spot in Southeast Texas.
In Beaumont's west end, Rogers Park features both a regular playground and a water playground along with a community center available for rent. The park also includes sports facilities for basketball, tennis and softball. Restrooms, picnic areas and covered shelters compliment the park.
For the complete sports experience, head to the Beaumont Athletic Complex off Hwy 90 (College Street). The complex features lighted facilities for softball/baseball, tennis, sand volleyball and basketball. There's also a soccer field, restrooms, playground and tennis clubhouse.
