Museum Madness
October 22-24, 2021
Support area museums at the Inaugural “Museum Madness Weekend,” October 22 – 24, 2021. The Art Museum of Southeast Texas, Beaumont Children’s Museum, John Jay French Museum, Edison Museum, Dishman Art Museum, Fire Museum of Texas, McFaddin-Ward House Museum, Museum of the Gulf Coast, Spindletop-Gladys City Boomtown Museum, and Texas Energy Museum are each hosting events for a fun-filled weekend in Jefferson County.
The weekend starts off with “Spindletop Spookfest and Movie Night” at the Spindletop-Gladys City Boomtown Museum, and guided tours of “A Walk with the Stars” at the Museum of the Gulf Coast on Friday, October 22, 2021.
On Saturday in downtown Beaumont, the Edison Museum will be hosting the “Ghost Phone Photographic Exhibit.” The Beaumont Children’s Museum is celebrating “National Chemistry Day” with the TAMU Chemistry Road Show, the Fire Museum of Texas will be holding a pumpkin scavenger hunt, and the Art Museum of Southeast Texas and Texas Energy Museum are holding their annual “Dino Day” and “Family Arts Day: Eat a Bug,” respectively.
The McFaddin-Ward House Museum will open their grounds for a “Picnic on the Lawn” and the Beaumont Heritage Society is hosting their annual “Pumpkin Walk” at the John Jay French Museum. The Museum of the Gulf Coast will also be offering additional guided tours of “A Walk with the Stars,” rounding out the events for Saturday, October 23, 2021.
The Dishman Art Museum is ending the weekend with the exhibition, “Julie Speed: East of the Sun and West of the Moon,” and the Spindletop-Gladys City Boomtown Museum is hosting “Open Mic Night” on Sunday, October 24, 2021.
