11th Annual Butterfly Release

The Harbor Foundation is hosting their 11th Annual Butterfly Release on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at the Ford Park Exhibit Hall from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. The entire community is invited with free admission to this incredible event.

This event features free food and free children’s activities that are donated by local area businesses and is hosted both inside and outside the Ford Park Exhibit Hall. All booths will be set up inside the Exhibit Hall, and the butterfly release will be held in the grassy area behind the Exhibit Hall at 1:45 p.m.

Harbor Foundation

Harbor Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for patients with life-limiting illnesses by raising funds to provide assistance outside the scope of health care, to promote education to patients, their families and the community, assist bereaved family members and other charitable acts as may be approved by the Board of Directors.

•      Harbor Foundation was established to provide financial assistance to patients who are faced with life-limiting illnesses who have needs outside the scope of healthcare. In the past, Harbor Foundation has been able to provide air conditioners, heaters, wheelchair ramps, groceries, payments towards funeral expenses and utility bills, audio books and personal music players.

•    Following Hurricane Harvey, the Harbor Foundation expanded their mission in order to aide in local relief efforts. Last fall they donated over $41,000 directly to residents who have applied for assistance. The Harbor Foundation has also donated; $10,000 to the Baptist Hospital of SETX Foundation for Employee Assistance Fund, $1,000 to the Mauriceville Middle School Nurse’s office to help replace supplies and medical equipment that was lost, and $2,000 to the Rockport Chamber Foundation to help the Rockport Community.

•    In October of 2017, Harbor Foundation made a $5000 donation to Nutrition & Services for Seniors - a non-profit agency dedicated to providing innovative, effective programs that assist older adults in leading quality lives while maintaining dignity and independence.
