Join us on Friday, Nov. 1 for a night of great jazz during Music at the McFaddins’ featuring legendary Swamp Pop musician, Jivin’ Gene.
As a teenager, Port Arthur native Gene Bourgeois – aka Jivin’ Gene – helped to invent the new genre music cooked up from a virtual gumbo of influences: country music, rhythm and blues, Cajun ballads, and rock ‘n’ roll. The talented singer, songwriter, and guitarist continues to share his unique at venues throughout Southeast Texas. He is well-known for writing the hit song, “Breaking Up is Hard to Do.”
The event is admission-free and open to the public.
