Flatbed Press: A Selection of Contemporary Prints - First Floor Gallery
· Flatbed Press is a celebration of the extensive variety of printmaking techniques, styles, and subjects being used in creative and challenging ways by contemporary artists. The exhibition features a selection of approximately 25 prints by local, national, and international artists, including John Alexander, Laura Berman, Keith Carter, Lance Letscher, Melissa Miller, Dan Rizzie, Judy Youngblood, among others.
Liminal: Photographs by Cathy Spence - Second Floor Gallery
· In Liminal, a study of the edges of time and space, landscapes by Cathy Spence capture moments of transition - before daylight, almost winter, edge of spring, an imminent rainfall, the mirage of fog - and the margins between the colors of the skies and grasses, the land and water. Influenced by photographer Edward Steichen, Spence explains, "I was trying to make my own The Pond - Moonrise, but my road took a different turn".
