Red, White & Blue - and fireworks and music too! Celebrate America the good ole fashioned way with a parade, music, food and fireworks. Preparations are underway for The City of Beaumont’s Fourth of July Celebration and the annual community parade July Fourth morning. These family friendly events are free and fun!

Calder Place 1929 Fourth of July Parade

You can show your patriotic pride and get the whole family involved. The annual Calder Place 1929 Fourth of July Parade begins in the parking lot of the BISD Administration Building at 9:00 a.m. The public is invited to watch or walk in the parade. Bring pets, bikes, strollers, golf carts… anything with wheels! Prizes will be given for the best decorated! The event is rain or shine.

City of Beaumont Festival and Fireworks Show

Head to the Event Centre at 5 p.m. for entertainment. Free parking is available in several lots in Downtown Beaumont. Fourth of July festivities which include live entertainment, food trucks, a Budweiser beer garden and an unforgettable fireworks display. At  9 p.m. on the dot, the spectacular fireworks display will begin. Admission to all events and performances is free, and local food trucks will offer a selection of food, beverages and sweet treats. Families can enjoy the Rotary Centennial Playground and other kids activities. Lawn chairs, blankets and coolers are permitted but are subject to search. No outside alcohol may be brought in to the event. Admission to all events and performances is free.

Before the Independence Day Celebration in Beaumont, take some time to explore downtown and view new murals, painted electrical boxes and historic buildings. Stop for a drink at Luke's Icehouse or feast on tacos from Tacos La Bamba on Calder.

The Nederland Chamber of Commerce and Tourist Bureau, along with the City of Nederland present the 8th Annual Fireworks Extravaganza 4th of July Celebration in Doornbos Park. The Nederland Swimming Pool will be open from 5-10 p.m. There will be a Bike and Wagon Parade, Field of Flags, Heroes Walk and Veterans VIP area to celebrate our veterans! Live music by STILL CRUISIN' will start at 7 p.m. and the Fireworks show starts at approx. 9:15 p.m.

The Jimmy Simmons Band will headline the annual Fourth of July Celebration at Lamar State College Port Arthur while Motiva will be on hand dishing out free Blue Bell ice cream. The event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Carl Parker Multipurpose Center on the campus of LSCPA, 1800 Lakeshore Drive in Port Arthur. A special tribute will be paid to the Coast Guard Marine Safety Unit of Port Arthur, which is led by Commanding Officer Captain Jacqueline M. Twomey. Jimmy Simmons and his band will play jazz renditions of patriotic favorites while the college hosts family-style games for the kids. Food and soft drinks will be available for purchase. Also performing is Port Arthur ISD administrator Dwight Wagner, who will sing “God Bless America”. Motiva, in its annual tribute to summer and the Fourth, will be serving free Blue Bell ice cream while supplies last. The event at the college is a lead-up to the annual fireworks show hosted by the City of Port Arthur. The fireworks will begin at 9 p.m. with plenty of room along the seawall adjacent to the college. Be sure to bring a lawn chair!
