Canoeing and kayaking are favorites among the locals as far as outdoor activities go. Beaumont, Texas is surrounded by many bodies of water including the Neches River, the Sabine Causeway, the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway and many lakes and bayous. The Cooks Lake to Scatterman Paddling Trail can be accessed right here in Beaumont and makes for a perfect day trip on the water. Village Creek State Park & Paddling Trail is also just a short drive and is among the top most-paddled creeks in the state. With all of our options, it's easy to get lost. To help out, we've included a list of local canoeing and kayaking hotspots as well as outfitters below. Enjoy the ride!
