The vineyard was built in 1984 and covers seven acres with over 1,000 vines. Our muscadine varieties, Noble (black grapes for red wines) and Magnolia (bronze grapes for white wines) are both known for their delicious flavors.
Delectable wines and a love of the land — we celebrate these passions in our Tasting Room, and we have a seat saved just for you. Immerse yourself in Free State Cellars by exploring our wine selection, enjoying playful flavors from the Free State Kitchens, kicking back with an espresso, or strolling the banks of our beautiful bayou.
Join us for a tasting that highlights our diverse collection, ranging from crisp whites, bold reds, and rich chocolates, to bright muscadines and a handful of colorful fruit wines. We have a farm-forward approach to French cuisine here, focused on sharing the beauty of the changing seasons with the bounties of local farmers. And elevate your visit by reserving a Free State Encounter in our beautiful outdoor area. Each Encounter offers a different sensory immersion to ensure your visit is unforgettable.
In order to provide special attention to all our guests, we request group reservations for parties of five or more, or for those who want to enjoy our Free State Encounters.
