Join the Edison Museum with a look back at the Galveston Storm of 1900. The exhibit features photographs from The Rosenberg Library and Galveston Historical Foundation. Learn about Albert E. Smiths journey to the weather worn island in the the early weeks of September 1900. Smith, under the guidance of Thomas Edison, filmed the destruction and created some of the worlds first media coverage.
Some photographs are of a graphic nature.
The exhibit will run during normal hours the entire month of September: Tuesday- Friday 9:00am- 2:00pm and Saturday 10:00am- 2:00pm.
