The Beaumont Health Coalition, a group aimed at driving change and improving health in our community, is hosting Beaumont’s first annual Kite Festival.
Come fly a kite, win a race and enjoy the outdoors! Kite Fest will be Saturday March 25th (rain date March 26th) from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Lamar University practice football field on MLK Jr. Pkwy, just south of the football stadium.
The event is open to the public and free to attend. Awards will be given for the “Most Beautiful Kite”, “Longest Tail” and “Most Creative Kite Design.” Free kites will be given to the first 500 attendees. Professional kite flyers will demonstrate their unique kites and flying skills.
Health related agencies and non-profit groups will be on hand to share information, provide health screenings and give away free boxed groceries and fresh produce.
