Mardi Gras of Southeast Texas

February 28 - March 3, 2019

Southeast Texas does Mardi Gras big and we want you to come celebrate with us! Start the festivities off with Beaumont Pardi Gras for an event full of delicious Cajun food, live music and of course, all the beads you could want! Make the short drive to Port Arthur for their annual Mardi Gras festivities.

Laissez les Bon Temps Rouler means “Let the Good Times Roll” in French. And simply put, there’s no better way of doing exactly that than at Mardi Gras. Also known as “Fat Tuesday,” Mardi Gras is the season of Carnival celebrations.

Twelve days into the New Year the festivities begin when The Krewe of Neptune presents the annual 12th Night Celebration. This event is the official kick-off for Mardi Gras of Southeast Texas. The 12th Night event features an opportunity to celebrate with local Krewes and enjoy an up-close parade of Royalty in full costume.

Mardi Gras parades and Carnival are family-friendly and take place in downtown Port Arthur for three full days of festivities. On Fat Tuesday night, in downtown Beaumont, The Texas Restaurant Association hosts its annual Taste of the Triangle. This all-inclusive, one-ticket-price event offers an opportunity to over-indulge in all things culinary.
