With the warm weather making its way into the area, there isn't a better time to be outdoors and enjoying festivals with family in Beaumont. Lucky for you, there are some exciting events coming up this spring that are guaranteed fun for everyone!

 

Easter Egg Hunt at the John Jay French House - March 31

Join the Beaumont Heritage Society for the fourth annual Easter Egg Hunt at 1 p.m. on the grounds of the historic John Jay French Museum! Bring your camera and take photos with the Easter Bunny, make a craft, tour the first floor of the French home, and of course, enjoy the egg hunt with three separate areas divided by age group! Tickets are $5 per person ages 4+ and all proceeds benefit the John Jay French Museum and the Beaumont Heritage Society mission of promoting historical education and preservation in Beaumont.

Butterfly Release - April 12

The Harbor Foundation is hosting the 9th Annual Butterfly Release at the Ford Park Exhibit Hall. All booths will be set up inside the Exhibit Hall while the butterfly release will be held in the grass area at 1:45 p.m. behind the Exhibit Hall.This years event will feature music, free children's activities and food.

St. Michael's Mediterranean Festival – May 5

The Mediterranean Festival features a tradition that is more than 100 years old, the Syrian Dinner. This annual fundraiser for St. Michael's Church features authentic Greek and Arabic foods available a la carte from a variety of vendors throughout the grounds. Along with food, families can enjoy camel rides, face painting, games and other fun activities. Greek and Arabic dance troops perform throughout the day.

Maypole Festival – May 12

Bring the entire family to the Beaumont Botanical Gardens for the fourth annual Maypole Festival
There will be something for everyone at this free, all-day celebration featuring live music, dancers, vendors, games and regional cuisine, including The Belly Dance Studio. Don’t miss the wrapping of the Maypole at 4:30 p.m. by Bonnie Cokino’s School of Dance as they bless the crops for a fruitful yield this season. 
Feel free to bring portable chairs and blankets. You may dine via a food truck or bring your own picnic as we celebrate as a community on the luscious grounds rich with plant life, gazebos and a koi pond. 

Boy’s Haven Crawfish Festival – May 12

This years' Festival will have a variety of music from Zydeco & Country to Texas Rock and Oldies but Goodies. The Free Kid's Area is full of fun inflatables along with a petting zoo and other activities. There will also be a variety of other foods to choose from as well as the Crawfish Box! Since 1985, the Crawfish Festival has been the primary fundraiser for Boys' Haven, so support them this year for a day of tasty food, music, and entertainment.

Spring Family Arts Day - May 19

This free day of family fun, located between the Art Museum of Southeast Texas and the Texas Energy Museum, will give children and their families an opportunity to participate in several hands-on art activities that correlate with the current exhibition. Face painting and other entertainment will be provided, as well as refreshments!

Hosted throughout the year, the Family Arts Days' are perfect for the children in the area to be creative and have fun, as well as explore the museums downtown.
