There is something for the whole family at Cardinal FanFest on the Plummer Lawn at the corner of MLK and Rolfe Christopher. Enjoy lunch from area food trucks and sample free craft beer while you listen to the sounds of Champagne Room and Curse and the Cure. Booths from museums and university departments will provide educational and entertaining children's activities, lawn games, and other tailgating activities. Attendees can even “Walk on Water” with LU Engineering. FanFest is the perfect spot to view the Homecoming Parade which steps off at 2 p.m. Parking is available in lots off Rolfe Christopher.

Classic & Antique Car Show (9/22)
Celebrate Homecoming at Lamar University by taking a step back in time at the Spindletop Gladys City Museum and viewing an amazing assortment of beautifully restored cars from area car clubs. You might even catch Big Red and Lu checking out the cool rides! No entry fee for participating cars and great prizes. Free parking and shuttle service to Cardinal FanFest and Homecoming Parade.

Everyone loves a parade and the Lamar University Homecoming Parade does not disappoint. Led off by the Showcase of Southeast Texas and the Lamar Cheer and Dance Teams, Big Red and Lu will get you in the Cardinal Spirit. The parade features entries from student organizations, university and community dignitaries, award winning area high school bands, and community entries competing for great prizes. Gather around the judges viewing area on Lavaca Street or at Cardinal FanFest on the Plummer Lawn at the corner of MLK and Rolfe Christopher for great views of the passing parade.

Cheer on the Cardinals in the Homecoming Game!
The Cardinals will face conference foe Southeastern Louisiana with a 6 p.m. kickoff. Halftime will include the presentation of the Homecoming Court and Homecoming Parade Winners, along with a massed band production as area high school bands join the Showcase of Southeast Texas.
