Editors of Convention South magazine, a national multi-media resource for meeting planners, have officially announced the ranking of the "101 Largest Expo Halls in the South" and SMG-managed Ford Park has made the list at #44! The listing is based on number of contiguous exhibition square footage. With the 48,000 square foot Exhibit Hall, the 11,000 square foot lobby and 34,000 square foot Arena, Ford Park totals 93,000 total floor space. Meeting planners and exhibitors have found that the facility offers the convenience and flexibility of hosting large and diverse events under one roof.
A sampling of the events held at Ford Park which benefitted from the combined space are United Cheer competition, Tae Kwon Do Nationals, Jehovah Witnesses State Convention, Industrial Training Summit, company picnics, CHRISTUS LiveWell Conference, The Peddler Show/Outdoor Expo, the National German Shepherd Dog Show and the Texas State Harley Owners Rally. Future events include the Southwest Liturgical Association Conference; Texas Association for Pupil Transportation Annual Conference and Equipment Meeting; and the United States Baton Twirling Association National Championship.
According to Ford Park General Manager, John Hughes, "Ford Park is proud to be the premiere Convention/Exhibition Center is Southeast Texas with the ability to host these National shows, conferences and conventions which bring thousands of attendees to the area, generating hotel room nights and hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue for Beaumont."
