Born in September, 1855, Capt. Anthony F. Lucas was the engineer who, with much encouragement from his wife, Caroline, brought in the historic well at Spindletop in 1901. Gladys City will celebrate Captain & Mrs. Lucas' with an afternoon dedicated to determination, persistence and ingenuity. Families will have a wide variety of supplies and tools in the ‘Makers Station' to design and build their own creations.
