The Beaumont Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) Sales Team has been working diligently to bring overnight meeting business to Beaumont, Texas and is pleased to announce that Beaumont has been named host city for The Texas Grand Chapter Convention of The Grand Chapter of Texas Order of Eastern Star (OES). The convention will bring over 1800 people to Beaumont in August 2021 and will utilize both full-service convention hotels, Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites- Beaumont Plaza and the MCM Eleganté Hotel and Conference Center. They will also use the Ford Park Entertainment Complex along with the services of the Beaumont Convention and Visitors Bureau. The estimated the economic impact (EEI) of this convention is $1,890,000.00.

The Beaumont CVB Convention Sales Staff assisted the meeting planner throughout the selection process including bid package coordination, site visits and facility contract details.

“We were delighted to learn that Beaumont’s bid package won the competitive bid process,” states Rebecca Woodland, Convention Sales Manager. “I have been working since November 2017 and was so proud to learn that Beaumont was voted in as the client’s top choice for their 2021 convention location! Beaumont has hosted Eastern Star twice over the years and Ford Park hosted this group once in 2012.”

In addition to this booking announcement, the Beaumont Convention and Visitors Bureau Sales and Services Team works throughout the year to seek out and bid on potential meetings and tournaments.

“The first weekend of June 2018, Beaumont is SOLD OUT!” says Freddie Willard, Director of Sales. “Beaumont Hotels are full and most properties literally have ‘no room at the inn’ for those searching for hotel accommodations at the last minute.”

Convention and Visitors Bureau Sales have resulted in the following groups coming to Beaumont this June.

  • The United States Fastpitch Association’s 10-Under & 12 Under State Tournament – 2,200 people, Estimated Economic Impact (EEI): $286,000.00
