December 13: Wildcatter Weekend: Patillo Higgins Holiday Open House
As the self-proclaimed "Prophet of Spindletop," Pattillo Higgins helped found the Gladys City Oil, Gas & Manufacturing Company in 1892 and spurred efforts to drill for oil at Spindletop. We will recognize Mr. Higgins' contributions to the Spindletop story with a holiday open house.
