The Beaumont Convention & Visitors Bureau is pleased to welcome 800 alumni to town for the Hebert High School Alumni Association Mass Reunion to be held June 29 – July 3, 2016. The reunion – 1 of 19 to be held in Beaumont this summer – will bring an estimated $635,885 into Beaumont’s economy.

“Hebert High has strong ties to the Beaumont Community,” says Gatsy Moye, Vice President of the Hebert High School Alumi Association. “Our reunions continue to be a success because our efforts have always been based on our motto: ‘Whatever Hebert High does must be the best.’ We are excited to be celebrating our reunion here in Beaumont.”

With roughly 800 people in attendance, the Herbert High Mass Reunion is one of the largest class reunions ever to be held in Beaumont. Attendees will travel from Texas, Louisiana, California and other states to attend the reunion, which will be held at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Beaumont Plaza located at 3950 IH-10 S at Walden Road. Along with providing classmates an opportunity to visit, the annual reunion also awards scholarships to local high school students. Alumni will enjoy performances from Beaumont-native, Barbara Lynn, who is a Hebert High School alum. Other notable alumni include professional football players, Jerry LeVias, and the late Mel Farr.

Along with sports tournaments, class and family reunions are a large portion of the Beaumont CVB’s summer convention business. During the summer months, Beaumont will host a combined total of 19 class and family reunions, bringing an estimated $2.2 million into Beaumont’s economy.
