With the Fourth of July right around the corner, American flags can be seen more than normal around Beaumont. People proudly show off their patriotic pride while donning their red, white and blue in varying shades. Cities and family friendly attractions are finalizing the details for grand celebrations and flashy fireworks shows. To help, we've compiled this list of everything happening for the 4th of July in Southeast Texas. And don't forget to check out the Kids Gator Rescue Tournament also happening this weekend!

Join the staff of Shangri La Botanical Gardens & Nature Center in nearby Orange for a Fourth of July Celebration that includes patriotic activities for the whole family. Enjoy watermelon and lemonade from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. This outdoor program is free with general admission to the gardens. Adults, $6. Seniors (65+), Students (w/valid ID) & Youth (10-17), $5. Children (4-9), $2.

5:00 pm, City of Beaumont Fourth of July Celebration (Free Admission)
9:00 pm, Fireworks

The City of Beaumont Fourth of July Celebration offers a sensational salute to our nation's past with live performances in Riverfront Park, a patriotic performance by the Symphony of Southeast Texas at Julie Rogers Theatre, and a breathtaking fireworks display over the Neches River. Riverfront Park festivities include a tribute to uniformed heroes at 5:00 pm, followed by Jack Edery at 5:30 pm, The Flava Band at 6:30 pm, and Lisa Marshall at 7:45 pm. Food and beverage booths will be set up in and around the park. Spectators are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the food, music and fun. (Glass containers are prohibited.) The evening will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display accompanied by patriotic music starting at 9:00 pm. Free parking is available in several lots in downtown Beaumont, including the Beaumont Civic Center and Beaumont City Hall. Admission to all events and performances is free.

5:00 pm, City of Nederland Fireworks Extravaganza (Free Admission)

The Nederland Chamber of Commerce and Tourist Bureau, along with the City of Nederland present the 3rd Annual Fireworks Extravaganza 4th of July Celebration in Doornbos Park. There will be plenty of activities for the kids from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm along with food throughout the evening including pizza, ice cream, hot dogs and more. The champagne room opens at 7:00 pm and the fireworks starts at 9:00 pm. Tune into Q94 to get the complete fireworks experience.

7:00 pm, City of Port Arthur Fourth of July Celebration (Free Admission)
9:00 pm, Fireworks

The City of Port Arthur Fourth of July Celebration will take place at Lamar State College - Port Arthur (LSC-PA) with performers taking the stage at the Carl A. Parker Multipurpose Center followed by a fireworks show over the Intracoastal Canal. A presentation by the LSC-PA and Port Arthur Little Theater cast of "The Producers" will give those in attendance a taste of the upcoming performance. Other performers for the event include Jeff Courts bag pipes, whistler Phil Guidry and singers Krista Courts, Dwight Wagner, Tom Neal and Garrett De La Certa. A barbershop quartet will also add to the festivities. Fireworks, which start at 9:00 pm, can be seen from the seawall. Spectators are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the performance. The event is free and open to the public.

8:00 pm, Symphony of Southeast Texas Concert (Free Admission)

Held in conjunction with the City of Beaumont's 4th of July Celebration, the Symphony of Southeast Texas will provide a free concert inside the historic Julie Rogers Theatre at 8:00 pm. Musical selections include: "Stars and Stripes Forever," "Liberty Bell March," "Olympic Fanfare," and a "Salute to Armed Forces" honoring servicemen and women from past and present.
