Turkey Creek Trail Now Open in the Big Thicket National Preserve

Great news just in from the Big Thicket National Preserve! Superintendent, Doug Neighbor, announced today that the entire Turkey Creek Trail is now open. All of the bridges and boardwalks that were consumed by wildfire have been replaced and the trail is in good condition.

Where were you on September 11, 2001? I was in my car on my way to get my hair cut. I was listening to the radio and as I was just about to change the station, I heard the DJ announce, "A plane has just hit the World Trade Center." I remember listening in shock as they began to unfold the happenings of that dreadful morning. We all have a story and none of us could have been left unaffected by the events of that day.
