Beaumont, Texas featured on C-SPAN2 Book TV and C-SPAN3 American History TV

C-SPAN Features Beaumont, TX February 4th and 5th 2012 as part of Beaumont Weekend on C-SPAN. The C-SPAN Local Content Vehicle staff visited numerous locations to explore the history, and literary culture of a city where the oil industry in Texas got its start.

Art Museum of Southeast Texas Family Arts Day

The Art Museum of Southeast Texas (AMSET) invites children and their families to join us for family fun with “I See 3-D” Family Arts Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11. This FREE event will feature hands-on art activities, refreshments and entertainment designed to encourage families to explore the museum and learn more about the artwork on display.

C-SPAN’S BookTV and American History TV features BEAUMONT, TX

C-SPAN is visiting Beaumont, TX, for a week starting Monday, January 9, 2012, as it prepares to feature Beaumont's history and literary life on the cable network’s non-fiction book channel BookTV (on C-SPAN2) and history channel American History TV (on C-SPAN3). During the week, C-SPAN producers will visit various literary and historic sites, interviewing local historians, authors and civic leaders. C-SPAN is partnering with Time Warner Cable, the network’s local affiliate, which is helping to organize the week’s many logistics.

Beaumont CVB to Hold Four Sessions of Destination Training in 2012

The Beaumont Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) will host four sessions of the award-winning Beaumont Destination Training Program on Wednesday: March 14, May 9, July 18 and November 14, 2012. All sessions begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 2:00 p.m.

The Beaumont Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) welcomes the Southeast Texas Soccer Association 19th Annual Babe Zaharias Tournament, June 10-12, 2011. “We are very excited about this being our 19th annual soccer tournament,” says Stephen Goodman, Tournament Secretary. “We have all seen the enthusiasm for soccer grow in the United States and our soccer league is no different,” he continues. “We have grown each year and look forward to that continued growth!”

WWIII.5 Mud Run Invades Southeast Texas April 30th - May 1

The Beaumont Convention & Visitors Bureau is thrilled to announce the first annual WWIII.5 Mud Run taking place Saturday, April 30, 2011. “WWIII.5 is a 3.5 mile off-road course that features challenging terrain and spectacular obstacles, designed to exhilarate and entertain race participants,” says Jenny Bynum race coordinator. “Unlike other races that rely heavily upon natural land-form obstacles and a few well-placed hay bales, we have created a race that they will be talking about for years!”
