National Tourism Week

For us here at the Beaumont Convention & Visitors Bureau, tourism is our work and our passion. Each year, we team up with the Travel Industry Association to celebrate National Tourism Week. National Tourism Week is a collective effort to promote the power of travel through customized events in communities nationwide. The goal is to enhance the country's economy, security and perception, and recognize the cultural and social benefits created by travel and tourism.

Tourism in Texas is big-time fun, and the Beaumont CVB brings its fun-loving spirit to National Tourism Week by hosting several events throughout the week. 

During National Tourism Week the Beaumont CVB also receives proclamations from both Jefferson County and the City of Beaumont dedicating the week's activities as official events endorsed by the County and the City. The CVB promotes National Tourism Week on a local level by distributing promotional items, kicking off email campaigns and interviewing with the media. And since tourism in Texas should be enjoyed by everyone, the Beaumont CVB encourages local citizens to rediscover Beaumont and the Texas Gulf Coast and its many tourism-related offerings.

Tourism in Beaumont wouldn't be possible without the support of residents, business owners and, of course, travelers! That's why the Beaumont CVB hosts an open house at both the Ben J. Rogers Regional Visitors Center in Beaumont and the Texas Information Center in Orange to thank people for traveling. We also hand out goodies that represent each of these unique areas of the Lone Star State. This is always a fun event and lets tourism officials connect with visitors for one of the primary purposes of tourism: making memories!
