What do you love most about Beaumont?

That’s a pretty tough thing to pin down, but I’d have to say that what impresses me time after time is Beaumont's incredible history. From the early 1900s, the city bore witness to a stunning collection of entrepreneurs, inventors, unbeatable athletes and talented musicians. I have the great privilege of showcasing Beaumont to journalists who have traveled the world. It’s energizing to hear travel writers get excited about our city and also realize the impact of Beaumont’s history was nation-wide.

What is your favorite activity in Beaumont?

My favorite thing to do in Beaumont would be anything outside, on the water! Pretty much anytime I can be on a boat, I’m quite happy. There’s just something about cruising down the Neches River with the wind in your hair and the sun on your skin. Watching all sorts of birds fly across the cobalt blue sky, the smells of pine trees and cypress… it’s just serene and I love it.

What is your favorite season?

Springtime in Beaumont is absolutely breathtaking.

What is your favorite space in Beaumont to host an event?

There are so many incredible options, but my favorite spot for events would be the historic Jefferson Theatre. It’s impressive, grand and surprisingly accommodating. Guests of this historic theater feel like celebrities; anytime a host can make that happen at an event, I’d consider it a great success.

What is your favorite place to eat in Beaumont?

Hamburgers are the ultimate comfort food, in my opinion, so I’d have to say Willy Burger is my go-to guilty pleasure local restaurant. If you want to make it a Willy, Willy Good meal to remember, you can’t beat the vibe of dining in the restaurant’s vintage Airstream trailer.
